McNeil Estates is located on the west side, around 2 miles from Las Vegas Blvd, at Charleston. Most homes here were built from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Sizes range from 1,248 to sq. ft. to 6,507 sq. ft. There are 551 homes in all in the development. The streets here seem very wide, to me, much wider that the average. Lot sizes average around 1/4 acre. The Review Journal has featured McNeil Estates in several articles over the years, characterizing it as an option to some of the newer areas, such as Summerlin. Here you have sprawling homes with lots of grass and very close in as opposed to the smaller lots, lack of equivalent greenery and longer commutes of Summerlin and many other of the newer areas.
